Forty-six women are taking part in the 52nd GM Motors Fiji Golf Open championship.

Dorothy Mason from New Zealand, who is competing in the ladies division, said the weather was much better than yesterday. “It is good for development of the game to see more ladies participating,” she said.

Mason added she enjoyed playing in different places as she played previously in Australia, New Zealand and Vanautu. Lillian Allen said tournament brought a good vibe.

“The ladies yesterday managed to get off the field before the rain began and today is cooler.

“It is a large field and the tournament organisers have done a really good job.”

Seini Lewai, also competing in the tournament, said her game improved from yesterday.

“It is coming up big after two years and it is good, and I am looking forward to it next year.”
