Minister visits children’s home | Lynda Tabuya at Saint Tabitha Home

Children at the Saint Tabitha Home in Saweni, Lautoka were visited by the Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Minister, Lynda Tabuya this month.

Ms Tabuya was accompanied by the staff members of the Social Welfare Office in Lautoka.

A media statement said the ministry visited the home and met with children under the home’s care.

The statement said Minister Tabuya was briefed by the home staff about their daily operations and activities.

She was also informed about the plans in place for the future.

While the children at the home may be unfortunate in life, they are fortunate to have a second chance to live out their dreams and aspirations at the home.

Ms Tabuya said it was her first-time visiting the home and she was delighted to see how well the facilities were maintained.

She said she hoped to see all children’s homes under the same state as Saint Tabitha Home.

She wished all the children the very best in their second school term and looked forward to visiting the home again soon.
