Despite the rainy weather condition this morning, more than 50 participants took part in an annual clean up campaign organised by KOICA Fiji Office through the KOICA Fiji Alumni Club in collaboration with JICA Fiji Office, USAID and Suva City Council.

KOICA Fiji Office country director Kapchae Ra said the organisation was focusing on environmental issues in Fiji.

“In order to protect the beautiful ocean, we organised this clean up event every year,” Mr Ra.

“And this year we are providing eco packs to reduce the single use of plastic bags.

“We invite other international organization like JICA and USAID and today the Korean community also participated in this activity.

“These are small steps to protecting our ocean.”
