13 businesses to showcase products at expo

THIRTEEN businesses from Fiji will be participating at this year’s Naturally Good Expo to be held in Australia from June 5-6.

A statement from Investment Fiji said it was a collaboration between them, the Fiji Consulate General and Trade Commission office in Australia.

Investment Fiji chief executive officer Kamal Chetty said the effort to showcase these Fijian brands aligned perfectly with their mission to promote Fiji’s products globally and increase our export capacity.

According to the statement one of the companies participating in the expo is Herbal Fiji and its director Kunjal Nair said their aim was to increase their product visibility, build networks, get potential new customers as well as build their brand through this event.

“Herbal Fiji manufactures health products which are handmade with the perfect blend of Fiji’s spices and herbal extracts for maximum health benefits,” he said.

“Our goal is to try to take Herbal Fiji brand to the rest of the word and use our products to promote health and wellness and also explore more into product development that could help promote wellness.”

The company will have their products such as Herbal Fiji Health Juice Detox, Herbal Fiji Health Juice Rejuvenation, Herbal Fiji Mouthwash, Herbal Fiji Hair Oil displayed at the Naturally Good Expo.

Another local business Ashwin Export & Import Pte Ltd will be sending their products to the expo.

Its Quality Assurance manager Shyrol Prasad said the company aimed to gain new customers in the hope of exporting to Australia through this expo.

“At this expo we’ll be displaying fresh turmeric and the organic turmeric powder. Our product (fresh turmeric) is USDA certified, we use the certified raw products to prepare our organic turmeric powder,” she said.

“Both the products are prepared for export with great care and hygiene.”

Mr Chetty said Investment Fiji recognized the immense potential and quality of the product range produced by these 13 companies, beverages, food and agriculture, health and beauty, kava as well as spices.

He said Investment Fiji sought to create new avenues for Fijian businesses to access international markets and expand their reach for their products.

“We believe that these products which will be exhibited at the Naturally Good Expo 2023, embody the rich cultural heritage and natural resources that Fiji is renowned for.

“Through this effort, we aim to enhance Fiji’s visibility as a hub for sustainable and high-quality products,” the CEO said.

The event which will be held from June 5th to 6th at International Convention Centre (ICC) in Sydney, Australia, will allow local businesses to exhibit their exceptional product line to serious buyers as well as explore opportunities within the global health and wellness retail market.

Investment Fiji also shared that it had secured the booths for companies to display at the expo as participants self-funded their own travel and accommodation costs.
